MP175 12V-600mA Non-isolated buck converter
DESCRIPTION:
This design is intended to evaluate the performance of a non-isolated AC-DC buck converter utilizing the MP175 controller. The circuit is configured to operate from a universal AC input voltage range of 85 VAC to 220 VAC and provides a regulated 12 V output with a continuous load current of up to 600 mA.
The design includes calculation and verification of external component values required for stable operation, including the input capacitor, output capacitor, inductor, feedback network, and protection circuitry. The purpose of this evaluation is to confirm functional performance, efficiency, output regulation, and thermal behavior of the MP175 in the specified operating conditions.
This platform may be used as a reference for developing compact, cost-effective, and reliable non-isolated power supplies for low-power industrial and consumer applications.
